Jacobs In Wonderland
Jacobs In Wonderland is a surreal exploration of whimsy and wonder, inspired by Marc Jacobs' playful embrace of exaggerated shapes and bold aesthetics. This photoshoot reimagines the fantastical world of Alice in Wonderland through the lens of high fashion, blending cartoonification with avant-garde design. Vibrant colors, distorted proportions, and dreamlike sets create an otherworldly experience that celebrates individuality and the art of reinvention, hallmarks of Marc Jacobs’ creativity

Imperceptible
Imperceptible shows a girl teleporting around in an urban environment trying to find the right light to be seen by those around her. The lack of attention starts to consume her and at any given moment she begins to disappear. She doesn’t understand this feeling of invisibility so she changes her appearance to be seen. Until she discovers who she is on her own she will forever be lost to others.
Weak or Wicked
The silence of the visual subjects represent how the speaker feels when he talks as if his sound goes in one ear and out the other. The quickness and loud audio of the presented media is to scare the audience and give them a piece of the forever fear black people have when unwanted chaos occurs. The silence of the white performative activist video was intentional to show how a white voice will always over power a black one no matter the message. Because of the pattern I have created, the viewer will probably look to hear what the video was about and ignore the speaker but my intention was to create volume to what he had to say. The highlighted losses were picked specifically to show the stories of people that weren’t broadcasted all over the media because the number of police brutality victims isn’t always acknowledged when one story is shared. The flashes of black screens were inserted for the viewer to have moments of self reflection. As the piece ends the music and black screen should help you slow down and reflect on how you contribute to the issues.
Dry Tears.
For the times we couldn’t cry.
